I first of all wanted to mention that I did this photo shoot to show an appreciation to Twenty One Pilots. Here is a band that I love and respect so much because they are not afraid to talk about the hard things in life that all of us are dealing with. It's so comforting to know we aren't the only ones struggling and dealing with our own demons and insecurities.
It is hard for me to find the right words to describe this photo shoot and the meaning behind it, but I will try my best. This photo shoot was mainly inspired by Twenty One Pilot's song Holding On To You. The music video for this song is incredible and has so much depth and meaning that I would highly recommend checking it out. Although their song Holding On To You was the main inspiration for this shoot all of their other songs really inspired this. I want these photos to represent the battle we have with our minds every single day and how daunting that can be at times. We have so many things we are dealing with in our heads like fear, stress, anxiety, regrets, insecurities, suicidal thoughts, depression, and that's just to name a few. At times it can feel like our mind is suffocating us. But with help from God we can put up a fight and not let our minds win.
